The First Peoples Innovation Centre (CIPP) had the honour of being invited by the Government of Canada to take part in the official events surrounding the visit of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla in Ottawa.
Represented by Executive Director Céline Auclair and members of her team, CIPP participated in this formal occasion alongside Indigenous artisans, representatives of Indigenous organizations, and members of the public gathered to welcome the royal couple.
During the event, Ms. Auclair had the privilege of sharing a warm conversation with Queen Camilla, to whom she presented the CIPP’s contributions to social and technological innovation within Indigenous communities in Quebec.
CIPP also hosted a booth showcasing Indigenous know-how and the inspiring initiatives led by the Centre’s youth and partners.
This presence stands as a symbolic yet meaningful recognition of the work carried out by First Peoples to build bridges between tradition and innovation, and to elevate Indigenous expertise on a national stage.
