Program Overview

Onaki FabLab is a twelve-week paid training program offering an introduction to Revit and the fundamentals of building, point cloud data, and BIM software integration. It also covers an introduction to the Revit API (Application Programming Interface) and customization, project management training, and job placement.

Program Content Admission Requirements

Embark on a transformative journey with our comprehensive 12-week program with 12- week Internship, designed to equip individuals with little to no prior experience in architectural design or CAD software with essential skills in Autodesk Revit, advanced techniques in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software integration and an introduction to Project Management.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to Indigenous youth aged 15-30 who are not attending school and not employed.
  • Ideal for those with some experience in 3D modeling and prototyping.
  • No prior knowledge of architectural design or Computer-aided design software is required.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Windows operating system.

Format

  • Beginner-friendly instructor-led sessions with step-by-step guidance and hands-on exercises
  • Interactive discussions and Q&A sessions to address questions and provide additional support
  • Accessible learning materials and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles

Certification

After completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion from Building Transformations CANBIM.
The certificate acknowledges their newly acquired skills in Revit and BIM software integration.
