Funded by the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation as part of the Fonds d’appui au rayonnement des régions, the Étude des besoins autochtones à Gatineau project will engage with the Indigenous population, as well as Indigenous and non‑Indigenous partners from the Outaouais region, in order to precisely define the specific needs of the population and assess the services offered. This process will also contribute to reconciliation, in line with the need often expressed by people from the area for closer ties between the two groups. The results of the study will be published in March 2020.
