Between November 2016 and October 2017, ONAKI Circles in schools offered a variety of activities that the students selected themselves to help them reconnect to their culture. An Indigenous facilitator led ONAKI Circles in two Gatineau high schools, Symmes-D’Arcy Mcgee and Hadley & Philemon Wright, holding over 20 weekly meetings. In all, approximately sixty students were involved in the ONAKI Circles, thirty or so in each school.
