The ONAKI day camps were established in partnership with the City of Gatineau. This initiative enabled four Indigenous high school and college students to enter the summer job market by joining the City of Gatineau’s day camp counsellors. This was also a great opportunity to introduce the young, non-Indigenous participants to Indigenous culture in a fun, tangible way.
