On August 12, 2018, the FPIC, in partnership with the City of Gatineau, participated in the 16th edition of the city’s day celebrating cultural diversity. That year’s event took place at Moussette Park, with activities focused on the theme of living together (“Pour le vivre ensemble”). The FPIC presented three Indigenous artists—Margarita Ayala Spence‑Pelyk, Mariah Smith Chabot and singer Mike Wade—who performed three traditional dances, on stage and around the tipi that had been set up for the event.
